  Description

The Pacific Ocean perch is not a true perch, but is really a rockfish. They are slow growing fish that have been overfished in past years. Because they mature slowly the stocks are slow to replenish themselves. As a result of the drastic over-fishing of the Atlantic Ocean perch, fishers have been more careful not to overfish the Pacific perch.
